Late one Friday afternoon in May is when it all started. The air was beginning to get that bite it always did. Blue skies became brighter and clouds cleared. From inside the houses of Kippling, residents would look out of windows and see the finest of weather; only to be duped by an unforgiving air that was so cold that it pained the teeth like ice water.
